Q: does anyone know anything about the 2010 Mazda RX-8 and when its Release Date is?
will there even be a 2010+ RX-8 or iz the RX-7 making a come back?

A: hi,
There is soon to be a RX-8 and i have done some research and i found out that it will be releasing on the 3rd March 2010.
check it out on the web

Q: What do you guys know about the 2010 mazda rx-8’s?
I’m practically in love with this car but having trouble convincing my dad into helping me pay for it. (By the way im set for college due to athletics) Can anyone tell me some major benefits to the car? and is 16 city/ 22 highway mpg a good find? any comments and/or concerns would be greatly appreciated.

A: “Can anyone tell me some major benefits to the car?”

None. It’s a sports car. It goes fast. That’s the only benefit, and that’s not something you NEED, just something you want.

“and is 16 city/ 22 highway mpg a good find?”

Not in the slightest, seeing as the average mpg for cars these days is 25mpg or more. Also keep in mind, that’s just the rating. Your actual mpg will be closer to 12-14 city, 18-20 highway. Which is absolutely crappy.

“any comments and/or concerns would be greatly appreciated.”

Go find a practical car, and your dad will likely help out. As it is, you’re buying something you don’t remotely need, and it’s no wonder that he doesn’t want to help.

Q: Would you choose the nissan 370z or the 2010 Mazda Rx-8?
Say which one would you choose and why!

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: the 2010 mazda rx-8 engine?
would it be able to put a twin turbo on a Mazda RX-8 even though it’s a rotary engine?

A: You won’t be able to put a twin turbo setup up on it since there are no kits for a twin setup, but there are quite a few turbo kits. I can name a few. They have greddy and sfr turbo kits at http://www.turbokits.com/rx-8_turbo_kits.html and you can also get the ptp turbo kit at http://projectptp.rpmware.com/ptp/ptp_turbo_kit_mazda_rx8/ptptkrx8/i-218781.aspx . I was looking into doing this myself but I changed my mind. Instead I prefer a supercharger from Pettit Racing because I love their setup and I can afford it. My dream setup would be a DNA Motorsport ProCharger System. Look at the design. http://www.dnamotorsport.com/ProCharger/RX-8_Kit/RX-8.htm . It is almost like a turbo but it is belt run. So if done properly you could create a supercharged car that is turbocharged as well with the supercharger helping the turbo spool up. That is my theory. There is also a supercharger available from Blitz if you go down that road. A really good bolt on mod for the RX8 is a wet shot of nitrous. It is safe and reliable power adder for a time when needed and cheaper than a turbo or supercharger but the downside is you need to refill the nitrous tank when empty This one would probably be a good one to start with http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/performanceparts/Mazda/RX8/Nitrous/Nitrous_Kits . I hope I introduced you with enough options you could look into as well as the price ballparks. Good luck!

Q: Does anyone one know anything about the 2010 Mazda RX-8?
im really temped to just get the 09 rx8 but i kinda wanna wait to see if the 2010 rx8 has the 16b motor in it r what ever motor its suppose to be and im hoping it gets atleast 300hp

A: Don’t expect the 16x motor until at least 2012.

I don’t think you’ll see 300 HP from it. More likely 270-280, but based on the design changes I’ve read about you should see a good increase in torque.

Q: Which car should i get next year? 2010 chevy camaro, 2009 mitsubishi lancer, Mazda Rx-8?

A: You’ll probably get very biased info from people who would obviously choose one over the other due to their taste. I’d have to say that you should choose very wisely because who knows if the gas prices next year will be as good as this year. If you haven’t noticed the gas prices are starting to slowing go back up.

Q: is their only one generation of mazda Rx-8?
is their only the 2010 model of rx-8’s??

A: Nope theyve been around since 2004

Q: mazda rx-8 prices?……??
How much would a new or preowned cost for the following years 2006-2010 … i only can spend $15,000 .. and it has to be 4 doors …. plz sugguest. Any other car but only 2006-2010

A: Go check out the rx8club.com and check out the FS threads and you will find yourself one sexy beast on there. All the guys on there take care of their cars there and I bet you could find one that is close to you and you could get it for under 15k. The rx8 is an awesome car and they all come in 4door suicide style.

Q: 2004 Mazda RX-8???????
I’d like to get one because they look cool and are cheap as far as sporty cars go and have a nice amount of power and performance, but Consumer Reports and other people say that they are unreliable and CR gives them several black dots. Are they good cars or no? If not, what would you recommend? Has to have 4 seats, look sporty, and cost under maybe $15k. I like the MazdaSpeed3, but it’s only a manual transmission and I wouldn’t want to learn stick. I’m also in love with the 2010 Mustang GT, but I don’t have that much munny. :(

A: The biggest problem with the RX8, and the biggest reason that there a re black marks against it, are reports to these agencies from un-knowledgeable owners.

The big difference between the RX8 and all other cars out there is the Wankel Rotary engine. Since it is not a piston engine it cannot be treated like one. Regrettably most of the owners out there have no idea of the proper maintenance of a rotary engine…so they have problems…and report the car as unreliable. I blame Mazda as much as the Sheeple drivers, as Mazda dealers do not teach new owners what is required.

Maintenance of a rotary engine isn’t a big deal, but it MUST be done on a timely basis. If you ignore the motor and its needs it will die.

- Once started the motor must run until it has warmed up enough to drop from high-idle to normal idle. If you shut the engine down cold you run a high risk of flooding the engine. This is just basic law of the rotary engine design.

- Oil changes MUST be done. 3000 miles is a good interval.

- Check your oil level frequently. Although the car doesn’t “drink” oil like the haters like to spout-out, it does consume some by design. Expect to add a quart every 1500 – 2000 miles.

- The motor can carbon up quickly and the effects/damage of carbon build-up is more problematic. Giving the engines lots of revs whenever you can will keep carbon and varnish build-up to a minimum. It’s a very free revving engine and unlike a piston engine can run at red-line for hours.

- Check coolant levels occasionally. NEVER let a rotary engine overheat or the rotor housings will warp and bye-bye motor.

I’ve owned my ‘05 RX8 since new and have not had a single problem with it.

There have been more reported problems with the ‘04 model year than any others as ‘04 was the first model year. No surprise there, this is true of almost all cars. I’d say if you could afford an ‘05 or newer that would be your best bet, but if the ‘04 has had all it’s recalls done you should be Ok.

Q: What is a fast car between year 2000-2010 that costs between 7k to 12k?
I am a college student and would like to have a faster car, but I don’t know too much about cars. I was debating between Acura Rsx Type-S and the Mazda Rx-8, but after reading about how rx8s are expensive to maintain, I don’t think I want it anymore. Any idea what other cars? I’m not into muscle cars.

A: Chevy Cobalt SS ?
Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
Pontiac G5 GT
or a Scion Tc with mods to it .
but the acura is nice :)

Q: Planning to buy a new/used car but cant decide between:?
-2004 Mazda RX-8
-2005 Acura TSX
-2010 Mazda 3 Sedan
-2010 Suzuki SX4 Sedan

I am willing to spend up to 21 000. but nothing higher.

Thanks!
-I prefer a 4 door sedan
-any other suggestions are welcome :)

A: Have you looked at the Hyundai Azera or Sonata?

-Nissan Altima’s
-Chevy Malibu
-Ford Fusion (wouldn’t recommend)
-Toyota Camry
-Kia Optima
-Subaru Impreza
-Suburu Legacy
-Volkswagon Jetta
-Honda Accord
-Mistubishi Gallant
-Mitsubishi Lancer (comparable in size to the mazda 3)
-Mazda 6
-Pontiac G6

Q: Egypt: Help me choosee…….?
Okay so all of you guys know that im not that much of a good driver. Anyway, now I can’t get the BMW. I have to get a new car so help me choose one.

1.BMW X5 (2002)
2. 2008 Mazda 6i
3. 2010 Toyota Corolla
4. 2010 Mazda 3
5. 2010 Mazda Rx 8
6. Nissan Sentra 2010

Don’t ask I like Mazda’s. This is only a practice car though. After I can get what I want. And my uncle just got me a gps soooo im pretty much all set after i choose the car. All I need is my license haha.
@Sabrina I don’t live in Egypt. If I did though, I probably wouldn’t drive there b/c I would definitely do some damage.

A: I really like the first one Dina. And also the second one, the other ones are not really good.

Q: I have 2 car dillemas on which cars to buy.?
Which car would u buy and why? and if u want rank them
1st group:
mazda rx-8
chevy camaro
new 2010 subaru legacy
vw gti
pontiac g8
honda accord coupe
nissan altima coupe
hyundai genesis coupe

2nd group:
saab 9-3
new 2010 ford fusion
vw cc
toyota rav 4

thank you

A: Ohh.. you have SO many good cars.

I guess it all depends on what you want, becuase they’re all so different.

In the first group, i would choose the Accord, GTi or the G8. The RX-8 is a blast to drive, but i’m not fond of the styling, while the Gensis is a greatly designed car, but hyundai isn’t too great w/the resale values. As for the altima, it’s just bland.

And i would rank them:
GTi
G8
Accord

As for thes econd group, i would rank:
CC
Fusion
Rav4
9-3

The 3 i chose off of the first list i chose because of the fun quality behind them. The GTi is the smallest out of the three, and it’s zippy, while the G8 is the biggest, and it has muscle. The honda is somewhere inbetween, but still a great choice.

As for my second group ranking, i chose the CC first because that car has passion behind it- everything from the ride, to the quality of the interior, to the electronics that it offers, it’s just a comfortable and luxurious ride at a lower price as comapred to BMW and Mercedes. The Fusion comes next because of it’s design, and it’s quality. The design for the hybrid was actually bought form designers from BMW, and the ride is smooth, and the interior is well laid out. the rav4 comes next,b ecause well as an SUV, you can’t really be fun to drive. But it is practical,a nd gets what you need done for a mini-SUV. The Saab 9-3 comes in last because of reliability. While safe and fun, those things are HORRID on parts.

Test drive a few of them out, and see which aspects you like about each, and which you don’t, then go out and branch out from there. Remember- everything is different in person, so don’t get too attached to a car before you test drive it out

good luck!

Q: what make/models of cars meet this= 2 door, RWD, seats at least 3 people, and gets 30+mpg, and looks good?
the only thing close is mazda rx-8, maybe a honda cr-z in 2010?

A: none, stupid question. no rwd is gonna get 30mpg. now the new camaro ls might get around 22-25, or new mustang v6, or challenger v6. but that’s still not gonna get 30+. and good luck seating 3 or more in any 2 door

Q: What car is the best?
i am looking for a used car from $13,000 to $30,000

i was thinking like:
mazda rx-8
bmw 5 series
bmw 3 series
nissan 350z
2010 camaro
infinity g35 coupe

or if you have any other ideas of sweet sport or luxury cars

A: For less than $30,000, you could buy a brand new 2010 Camaro or a 2011 Mustang.

Rule out the Mazda because of the rotary engine. Nice car, but if you have problems, your wallet is going to dry out.

The BMW’s are great cars, but again, the cost of maintenance and repairs are very high.

I rarely see the Infinity/Nissan coupes, so I can’t say anything about them.

Honestly, if you can get something new, go with that. The Camaro and Mustang are both great rides.
