Q: What is the correct tire size for a 1997 chevy camaro z28?
Hi, i am a proud owner of a 1997 chevy camaro z28 30 year special anniversery edition. I dont have the owners manual anymore that came with the car and need to find out what the correct tire size is that should be on there.

On your 99, you do not need too hook up the AIR module to the filter. It is only required on 00-02’s. If you look at a stock 99 airbox to a stock 02 airbox, you will see that theres a tube running out of the side of the airbox on the 02. This is what the instructions are talking about. Since you dont have/need that hookup on your setup, just go without it. Just make sure you plug up the hole on the intake elbow as too not let any dirty air get past the filter element.

I need to know where the starter is on my 92 camaro z28, i’m not for sure if it is the problem but i want to check it just in case. A picture or diagram of where it is would be great to if possible.

A: On the Chevy engines, it is located on the passenger side next to the oil pan.

A: Unless, someone switch your car to a three speed, this is not good. All manual IROC’s came with a four speed.

Q: what does a body control module do on a 2001 Chevy Camaro Z28?
three weeks ago my camaro wouldn’t do anything when I turned the key. I had it towed to a dealer and was told the ignition was bad. yesterday I got gas and when I got back in the car it did the same thing. once again I had it towed to the same dealer thinking it was a warranty problem… now they say that the body control module is bad. can anyone tell me if this is legit?

A: I highly doubt that the body control module is bad. The body control module usually controls things like, lights, wipers, windows, heater, etc. I’m assuming the engine doesn’t even begin to turn when you turn the switch? Does everything else work like lights, horn, etc? Assuming that this car uses a side post battery like most GM cars, I would take the cables off the battery and clean the cable ends with a small wire brush as well as the terminals on the battery. Put it back together and try it. Alot of times with side post batteries that are dirty it will have a good enough connection to run accessories such as the horn, radio, etc, but not have a well enough connection to turn the engine over.

I just bought a 1987 Chevy Camaro Iroc z28, the interior was torn out since it was prepped for paint. The guy who sold it to me said all the interior was there, its not,,, There’s to much missing to just buy it piece by piece so i want to buy a clunker with the interior in it but not sure what other cars the interior would match with. If anyone could help id really appreciate it.

A: Passenger side is correct – but not under the kick panel. It’s tucked up inside the dash, almost to the kick panel. Remove the underdash panel, and the kick panel, lay head down in the floorboard, and look up – you’ll see a metal box about 4 inches wide – it’s held with a plastic tab and has a mega wiring harness that plugs into it that comes from under the kick panel – pull it out slowly. Inside that box, is the ECU.

I purchased a re-built one and put it in, only to have the nose piece snap too.. then I realized something ELSE was wrong with the car.. (headgasket… OUCH!!) All is fixed now, and I have 2 starters with cracked noses… hence my question. I’m sure the new one still works, just needs a new nose piece…

A: I wouldn’t pay more than 2500 if it’s mechanically sound and doesn’t have outrageous mileage. The Blue Book Value of an 89 (it won’t go older than 1989) that is in even excellent condition is only 1700, and thats figuring it have 100000 miles or less. Pay a little to buy, and spend even more to fix it up. That’s the only way to make it a good first car. have fun.

I dont have the money to do anything serious like a supercharger and a turbo and NOS and stuff. I have a magnaflow catback on it now and it has a new hood on it which has a scoop that actually works and goes straight into the air filter. i dont want to dump a ton of money into it but a resonable amount.
I want more HP and fuel milage.

A: alrighty its a lt1, you can do alot with a lt1, ok let me begin, you can put inn a K&N cold air intake, BORLA stainless steel cat-back exhaust, racing clutch, computer chip, all this would add up around 40-50hp so far, i hope i help, good luck on this project.

I took off my door panel and for an hour attempted to take the window motor out and didnt even budge one screw. is there a web site or manual that i can get that shows how to do this?…I was really trying to save money and not bring it to a dealer.

A: no dont take it to a dealer take it to a auto shop and probably save alot of $$

some motors can be very tricky, if you plan on doing it yourself please get a manual, in most cars the trick is you have to set the spring and if you dont when you un bolt the motor the spring will pop and it could literally break your wrist, im being very serious. i would recommend taking it in, good luck
