Q: Is Nos and a turbo on a Mazda Rx7 twin turbo bad or good? Or should i start on a new engine with aftermarket?
I have hear that two high of a shot can do a cost to your engine? If good what is a good size bottle ? i am get nos any way but i need to know a good size bottle i what a good size? i have about $30,000 for aftermarket Parts after i get my car….name some good parts?
A: with a turbo you can add wet nos kit but it really depends on what all you do to the engine
I would start looking for forums the Rx series has a fairly large following online
as for parts start with the basics
hksusa.com
greddy.com
there are tons and tons of variations of items that you can purchase all with different setups IE: more Hp, Torque, reliabiltiy
the key is, is to find out what you want your car to look like and what you really plan to do with it
weather is just crusin around to going to car shows to street racing to drifting there are all differnt mods that you can do to acheive the required effect
Q: Will Mazda Rx7 twin turbo and aftermarket parts have more hp then Rx8 with a aftermarket turbo kit and parts?
I want the fast one with more handling and more aftermarket mods that can go into the car….i am going for a fast and furious look rx7 or rx8 from tokyo drift? I WONT SPEED AND HP ABOUT or Around 500-600hp
what year for the Rx7 if i should get it?
A: The Rx-8 has a very high compression ratio for boosted applications. On top of that the computer is hard to crack. You can boost cars with high compression but ultimately the renesis’s so called advantage in economy and emissions are its biggest road block to producing power.
Side ported exhaust…
The old Rx-7’s have WAAAY more potential in power production than the renesis. On top of that the all the seals are optimized for boost in the 13B-REW. The side ported exhaust reduces port overlap, thus improving emmisions and economy. But in a performance engine you want the biggest ports possible without losing intake/exhaust velocity. In a Rotary, the exhaust port can be REALLY BIG.
The largest port possible on a rotary is called a peripheral port. It seals up the side port and bores a huge hole through the end of the rotor housing. ALL Rx-7’s (and all rotary cars before it) came from the factory with a peripheral ported exhaust. In order to match the Rx-7’s turbo loving exhaust ports, you would have to tear the engine down and send it out to get the exhaust ported. Hands down a turbo Rx-7 (or any Rx-7 for that matter) has a huge advantage over the Rx-8.
On top of that the Rx-7 has a more boost friendly compression ratio making for easier tuning.
I love the new Rx-8s but they just arent quite filling the Rx-7’s shoes. And any Rx-8 owner reading this, that thinks otherwise…. You really, seriously need to just ride in a 3rd generation Rx-7. Night and Day, sorry guys but I am telling it how it is, not trying to hate on you.
Any 93-95 Rx-7 will get you what you are looking for.
Q: Can A 1993 Mazda Rx7 Twin turbo Auto be tuned to be good as a Standard Rx7 ?Or should i just get a manuals?
I want performance…for them And The Standard is a Twin turbo And Costs A Little More
A: The reason people buy sticks isn’t because it’s faster per say. It’s that you have more control over when your car shifts, so it won’t downshift too early or waste time in a higher gear than you want it to be.
It wouldn’t be hard to beat a stick RX7 down the 1/4 mile but when you are say drifting around a corner and your transmission shifts up and you regain traction too soon is when you’ll get passed.
Q: Which do u think is better Mazda Rx7 Twin Turbo or Toyota Supra Twin Turbo and y?
A: Gold, mazda hasnt made the Rx7 in this country in about 10 years. there is no 2007 Rx7, there is a 2007 Rx8 but that is a completely different car. I like the supra better because it has a better reliabillity record, weighs less and has more hp and a faster 1/4 mile time. I also think it looks better.
Q: Mazda rx7 twin turbo?
ok im lookin into buyin a fixer upper and wanted to know around how much fixin up one of these babies is gonna cost? i aint talkin nothin fancy just gettin it up and running…

Q: Im thinking of buying an Mazda RX7 twin turbo…?
It has 98,000 mileage. Can someone tell me about the pros and cons of owning this type of car? Or should I buy a 1998 Mustang Cobra?
A: i think id go for the mustang, from what i know and have heard about the Mazda ,it gives a few problems ,the mustang will to ,but its easier to repair, and cheaper, good luck on it.
Q: Are all Mazda RX7’s twin turbo.?
I might get a 1994 Mazda RX7 for a high school car and im getting it for a good deal but i’v been wondering if its single turbo or twin turbo can any one help
A: Karle your wrong yes its a twin turboed 255hp.
Q: Can I fit a 86 Rx7 13b twin turbo in a 84 13b non turbo?
Will I be able to fit a 1986 Mazda Rx7 13b Twin Turbo Into a 1984 Mazda Rx7 13b non turbo?
A: Yes!
Q: Is it at all possible to put a nos system in my 85 mazda rx7 that has a twin turbo in it?
A: You can put NOS in anything, it’s just a matter of how bad you wanna blow the motor?!!! Twin turbos is already pushing pretty hard, but seeing you’re rotary, it shouldn’t hurt it too much. Just make sure all your seals can take the extra pressure.
Q: does a 1989 mazda rx7 come with twin turbo?
A: The twin turbo FD series were only sold in North America for the ‘93 through ‘95 model years. In Japan they were sold from the ‘92 model year through to the 2002 model year.
Chris…
Q: I know someone with a Mazda RX7, 1994 with twin turbo would it beat?…?
My 1995 Trans Am with 350 LT1…I highly doubt it, but this idiot is emphatic about it. I am ready to race him. Is there any way he’d stand a chance?
A: racing questions are always tricky because nobody ever knows whats under the hood of the car next to you. That mazda will be very fast off the line and like somebody else said, I think you are in for a suprise.
Where you will beat him is the 50 mph to the 100 mph. You can turbo the crap out of a little car, but a V8 is a V8. I have a 2006 Volkswagen GTI with a 2.0 Turbocharged engine. I think it is a very fast car. I recently raced a new police package Hemi Charger and blew it away off the line. At about 65 mph, the Charger caught up and passed me.
That Mazda will suprise you off the line, but you should be safe if your car is running in tip top shape. My advice, go long distance, not a short stoplight race. stretch it out quarter or half mile.
hope this helps!
Q: will an rx7 twin turbo engine fit in my 99 mazda miata??
A: Yes, a rotary will pretty much fit any where you put it. Get the sub frame also.
Q: should i buy a 1994 Rx7 twin turbo for 12k?
94 mazda rx7 66,000miles on chasis and 5,000 on the engine twin turbo runs on 20lb of boost with 450hp at rear wheel and is lowered and with whole new suspension and new rims and exhaust
I just found out that it is run by a computer and has 3 levels of performance 1st is a 10lb boost with 350hp 2nd is 15lb boost with 400hp 3rd is 20lb boost with 450hp it has a ding in the front bumper and needs a new seat
it is not a stock turbo it is a aftermarket turbo. He has done all the work on it himself.
A: no
Q: What car should I get Mercury marauder or Mazda rx7 right hand drive twin turbo or 2004 mustang cobra manual?
After the responses on buying a sport bike I choose to get a car. I have 15000 to spend and want a car that is spaces with a lot of aftermark parts but all in all just raw fucking power. Remind u I am 5″10.5 225 sold
Ok, but the rx7 is small as hell. I barly can fit comportably in it but it also has only 280whp and the aftermarket parts and expensive. The marauder has 300whp and 330fpt and the superchargers is like 3 grand that would atleast 400-500 hp quick. The mustang is ok in size but everybody fucking has one and they all look same and they really hate shap of the shifter plus the v8 packages are so expensive
A: Lesson #1: Never listen to a non-rotary owner when it comes to a RX7. This is a hard-and-fast rule, no exceptions.
If you’re in the US, you can’t get a RHD FD for $15,000 because you’ll easily spend that much just getting the conformance package taken care of (required by law, no way around it).
Last, the rule for the FD is that you’ll spend about $20,000 one way or another. If you want to know more about it, go to www.rx7club.com
Since you don’t like the Cobra (same here, it felt heavy to me and the shifter was placed badly), that leaves the Mercury Marauder
Q: Is there someone out there who has a toyota Prius that wants to trade it for a beautiful 1993 Mazda RX7?
We have restored with new body kit, RED, an RX7 twin turbo rotary and it is fabulous. We are finished with the project and want to buy a Prius. we can be emailed at: jillgoode@gmail.com
A: I think you will have far better luck selling the RX7 and then purchasing a used Prius as 2 separate transactions. I doubt the odds are in your favor that a Prius owner getting 40+ is going to trade for a car that gets 20(?) mpg.
