Budget is $30k. What would you recommend? A luxury car with tech option (if negotiate really hard) or a completely decked out Camry or Altima? I also really like the space that the Camry and Altima have (and the TSX does not have). However, right now Toyota is offering 0.0% APR for 60 months. Nissan is offering 0.0% APR for 36 months and Acura is offering 0.9% APR for 36 months. Safety comes way before looks and driving experience to me.

A: All three are safe, the tsx or the altima are more fun to drive than the camry, but the camry has more room and comfort for passengers, so if you have people you need to drive around a lot they will appreciate that most. The acura is much nicer than both, the altima has the cheapest interior, bad plastics and cheap seats, the camry has good materials, but not as good as the tsx. You should really just test drive them all before you make a decision.

Q: Does Toyota Camry 2011 use drive-by-wire throttle and breaks?

A: The Camry has used drive by wire throttle since 2002. The brakes are conventional vacuum assisted hydraulic affairs, not computer controlled except for the ABS, VSC, traction control etc.

A: Neither since both will bankrupt with repair costs.

Avoid anything from Japan or Korea because they have high repair costs and will often leave you with nothing to drive while you wait for ordered parts to come in.

That fact being said I suggest a Chevy Camaro or Ford Mustang for sports cars.

Chevy Cobalt, Chevy Malibu or Ford Focus for practical cars.

Jeep Liberty for off road fun.

I thought Toyota is supposed to be trying to increase its quality, to make up for poor safety issues. If the new 2011 Sienna is any indicator, they might as well close shop and go back to Japan…the dash is—well, you’d have to see it to believe it. The steering is all cheapened to electronics, and I think everything else is too like the Camry electronic brakes. I really wanted one till I go in it. WHAT HAPPENED TO TOYOTA’S QUALITY??

Actually I’m posting this for my GF. I drive a Honda Ridgeline. She’s looking for a new car…The choices are all over the place.

A: First of all there is a coolness factor involved. Unless she spends all of her time at craft stores and stamp collecting forget 2,3 and 4. The mustang is a good choice. If she gets one with a V6 the insurance will not kill her and the payments will be affordable.

Ok, I know this is so random, but I’ve always wondered… Why in cars commercials they said like “And check this Toyota Camry 2011″ or “New Honda Cavallier (random name ::P) 2011 model”? Why 2011? if we are in 2010!, (recently:) and when we were in 2008 I saw commercials announcing the new 2009 Ford? Can somebody explain me why are this cars named like this? what makes them from the future? :P Is there some characteristic about them that makes them be called like that?

Q: Which is better, Motor Trend, the Fusion or the Camry?
I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this one. Six months ago the Ford Fusion was the Motor Trend Car of the Year (http://www.motortrend.com/oftheyear/car/112_1001_2010_motor_trend_car_of_the_year_ford_fusion/index.html). Now the Toyota Camry is the best mid-size car — better than the Ford Fusion (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans/112_1005_best_selling_midsize_family_sedan_comparison/2010_toyota_camry.html). What changed in the last six months? It’s not like they compared 2010.5 or 2011 models.

A: If you support the US economy, buy the Camry. If you support Mexicos economy get the Fusion. Simple, both are good cars.
