Q: Can i put a 2010 ford ranger hood on a 1998 ford ranger?
i got a 1998 Ford Ranger and i like the new look of the ford ranger hoods where about 2-3 inches from the side the hood goes up about an inch or two, so that why im asking this question, is it possible? will i need to change anything to accomedate this if i can do it?
A: No, it won’t fit. Ford restyled the Ranger in 2005. There are plenty of aftermarket hoods, both steel and fiberglass, available to fit your ‘98. I’m sure you will be able to find one that you like. I have a 3 inch fiberglass “cowl induction” scoop on the stock steel hood on my ‘90 Ranger and it looks bad ass!
Q: If I buy a 2010 Ford Ranger brand new from a Ford Dealer, does it include a full tank of gas?
A: That’s a decision that the dealer itself makes. Manufacturers ship with a minimum of fuel. Most dealers leave half a tank, at least the ones I”ve worked at. If you ask your salesperson, they will likely fill it up for you at no cost.
I’m in Canada as well, so you got a good deal on your Ranger, huge rebates and so on. Hope it serves you well.
Q: rims for a 2010 ford ranger?
Does anyone know the bolt pattern and rim size i need to put on my 2010 ford ranger
A: 5×114.3 bolt size and 15 and up rim
Q: 2010 ford ranger auto 4×4 can be towed with wheels down behind motorhome as long as new OEM added. what is it?
A: You can tow that ranger with all wheels down as per this guide
https://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/rv_trailer_towing/2009/09RV4wdtowSep08.pdf
that guide is for 09 models, but should be the same for 2010 vehicles. You can call your local ford parts dealer and verify they have “Neutral Tow Kit” for your model. they can tell you price, availability. They can also tell you what is in the kit and how it works. I also researched and found this web site saying the kit is availible and the part number, with the part number,
http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/catalog.do?prodInfo=Ranger~2010~3L2Z_7H332_AA
But the ford parts dealer will be your best source of Information as of right now. Good luck and I hope this answer helps.
Q: 2010 ford ranger rear window?
My rear window has a distortion in the glass.Does this mean my window has default in the manufacturer, and can it be replaced with a better built window at no charge by ford
A: just take it in to your ford dealer show them the window they will order you a new one and replace it free of charge its under warrenty
Q: How much is a Ford Ranger?
Only thing I want is a 2010 Ford Ranger with roll down window a cd player and air condition and has to be a stick shift
A: Go to the Ford website and build one
Q: i have a 2010 ford ranger with traction control?
how can i bypass it so i can do burnouts
A: I think Ive heard something about pushing and holding a traction control button for 5 seconds while holding the brake. You should be able to find something in your owners manual as to how to disable it.
Q: can you sync a 2010 ford ranger once it is off the lot?
A: Anything CAN be done , the trouble is likely the cost to buy all the parts and the labor to install it will far exceed the price of buying it as an option.
Q: COLD AIR INTAKE in FORD RANGER?
Should I get a cold air intake put in my 2010 Ford Ranger XLT 4×4 V6? My friend has a cold air intake and I think it’s pretty sweet. How would it be in a Ford Ranger?
A: You already have a factory cold air intake in your Ranger. The factory intake admits air from the front of the vehicle outside the main engine compartment, which is what a “cold air intake” does. If you install an aftermarket intake kit, make sure you mount the filter/heat shield so it’s protected from engine compartment heat, or you’ll lose any benefit you might have gained from the freer-breathing kit.
Here’s a better, and less expensive, idea: Keep your factory intake, but replace your air filter with a K&N or similar high-flow model. For about 1/5 the cost, you’ll get the benefit of the high-flow filter without sacrificing the already good engineering of the stock intake system.
Q: Tonneau Covers for ford ranger?
I am looking at Tonneau covers for my 2010 Ford Ranger, XLT, Super cab, 4×4, V6. I am debating on a folding cover, retractable, or even the hard top that lifts up. I was wondering if I could get some input. What do you have and how do you like it? Is there one that does better for keeping rain/snow out of the bed.
A: Any of the tonneau covers will keep the rain and snow out of your truck bed. I really like the folding tonneau covers because they are extremely easy to install. The Lund tri-fold is already pre-assembled so you just take it out of the box and put it on. I checked at TonneauCovers4Less.com and they have a model for the 2010 Ford Ranger. It was about $300.00 including shipping.
There were also some hard folding covers on TonneauCovers4Less.com like the BakFlip G2. They are more money and take some installation, but they are very nice. The BakFlip lets you have access to the bed from the front to the rear without taking the cover off.
A link to the TonneauCovers4Less.com site is below. They have been in the business for over 30 years and have excellent prices.
Q: New Ford Ranger Price Haggling?
I’m very interested in a brand new 2010 Ford Ranger Sport. MSRP of $22,155.00 and total MSRP after all the add-ons of $24,110.00. I have to add Tax on to that as well, of 9.75%. This is the first time I’m buying a new vehicle, and my dad say I should go in and say I want it for $21,000.00 out the door, and watch them sweat. Is that ridiculous and will they just laugh at me? Or in Southern California right now with the recession and auto sales where they are, and since they 2011’s are soon to be out, is that a reasonable offer? I can definitely afford more than that, but I have no idea how to haggle down a car.
Thanks, any input on pricing would be appreciated!
-Alex
A: Your Dad is right on the money. You may not be able to buy it for that, but its a good opening offer. Don’t get in a hurry and if they start pressuring you head for the door.
Q: Wait for 2011 Ford ranger or buy one now?
I guess 2010 rangers were made 1-2 years ago. I want a brand new truck not made long ago to avoid rusty parts, would waiting for 2011 ranger be wiser??? Thanks
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: Ford Ranger. Good truck or not?
I’m thinking of a 2001-2010 ranger to get as a truck within the next two years. The FX4 or comparable model. I’m just wondering what others think of it. Now i don’t care that Edmund’s, motor trend, and consumer reports, says its outdated. I’m looking for something that can haul, has descent power, and of course, can off-road, well. Give me some suggestions for something else. Don’t suggest toyota, I’m not too big of a fan of toyota trucks.
A: The ranger is a great truck. My dad bought one new in 99 and it has 400k miles and is still going strong and has never had a problem. Also, a friend of mine bought one used with 230k miles and it ran perfect. He also bought an 07 ranger 4×4 that had been flipped on its side repaired it and then (unfortunately) he flipped it 400 yards and it looked like a piece but still ran and drove perfectly. That convinced me they were good trucks. If i ever need a truck thats the first thing i am buying. Good luck
Q: is there going to be a new truck to replace the ford rangers in the 2010 selling year?
A: I’m not sure what was going on with it but there was a concept called the F-100 which was a slightly smaller F-150, and the may replace the Ranger. Overseas in Asia, they have a completely different Ranger which always has the potential of coming over here especially with Alan Mulally’s One Ford strategy. It has an optional crew cab, which give it ballpark fuel economy of the US Ranger, and that’s a serious contender in the truck market.
Oh, and to Joey. You don’t tell us either because you can’t spell it or you are going along with GM’s wise marketing strategy… don’t tell anyone but try to sell cars anyways. Just shut up about bashing your Detroit neighbors because frankly they aren’t the ones that went into bankruptcy and have a huge cloud of negativity over them. Go make fun of the Titan or Tundra and we’ll all be happy.
Q: Why do my brakes grind and wont stop well in 4 wheel drive?
I have a 2010 Ford Ranger XLT 4×4. Ive noticed when I am in 4wd that I can slam on the brakes and all i feel is grinding and resistance in my pedals, and the vehicle will not stop as it should. Is it the ABS? The truck is brand new, its just a pain to almost hit a tree while mudding or on ice.
A: Your ABS came on because the wheels were in mud. Without ABS, you would hit the tree, lose your steering. You can’t change the laws of physics. On slippery surfaces, it takes longer to stop. No braking system will change that
