Red Tooth Crane & Rigging Inc. is seeking a hardworking and mechanically inclined Mechanic’s Helper to support the maintenance and repair of cranes, trucks, and rigging equipment. This role is essential to ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting mechanics with repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks on cranes, trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
- Performing basic labour tasks such as cleaning parts, organizing tools, and preparing work areas.
- Supporting routine maintenance activities including lubrication, fluid checks, filter changes, and minor adjustments.
- Helping with equipment teardown, assembly, and component replacement under supervision.
- Maintaining a clean, organized shop environment and ensuring tools are properly stored.
- Transporting parts, tools, and materials within the yard or to job sites as required.
- Reporting equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns promptly.
- Following all safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment.
Desirable Attributes, Skills and Experience
- Experience in mechanical work, equipment maintenance, or shop labour (asset).
- Basic understanding of tools, mechanical systems, and equipment components.
- Ability to perform physical labour and work in a shop or yard environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn from experienced mechanics.
- Clear communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- A safety-driven mindset and attention to detail.

This position is based at our Red Tooth Crane & Rigging Inc. yard and shop in Kingsclear, NB.
